Off-trail, above this site prior to coming down,
I had a 5 minute, one-sided conversation with a
doe I had come across. I tried to explain that
I was attempting to go down the mountain and
had no interest in bothering her. She didn't seem
to give a damn one way or the other as she calmly
browsed on the vegetation at her feet. I finally
moved past her, and she made her way up
without giving me a second thought.
It was very cool!
